Waste Reduction and Resource Circulation Initiatives

LX Semicon is continuously pursuing efforts to reduce waste and is actively engaged in various initiatives to establish circular resource management. In its semiconductor processes, the company recovers waste to extract gold, a key raw material, achieving both resource recycling and cost efficiency. At its campuses, household waste is separated at the source into recyclable materials such as paper cartons, PET bottles, and paper through designated disposal practices. In addition, PCB boards and chips generated during the design and testing phases are collected separately using dedicated containers to ensure proper disposal.

Establishing an Eco-Friendly Workplace

LX Semicon operates electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at major business sites and is gradually converting its company vehicles to eco-friendly alternatives as part of its green management efforts. To further improve its energy use environment, the company has implemented a centralized heating and cooling control system, maximizing energy efficiency and reduction.

Risk Management

Environmental Impact Assessment

LX Semicon conducts an environmental impact assessment to determine the environmental risks and impacts of each organization's activities, designs, products and services. It applies to all business activities related to products and services and comprehensively analyzes the environmental significance of products and services such as chemicals, air pollution, soil pollution, and waste discharge, as well as the impact of laws and regulations from a business perspective, thereby enhancing the company's ability to proactively respond to environmental risks and establishing a strong foundation for sustainable management.
